Can the novak 18.5t brushless crawler motor (not the new ballistic model)
handle being connected to a 4s lipo, in conjunction with a mamba max 1cell? thanks for any replies.

it should handle it since at full voltage it would run under 50k rpm. IIRC the silvercan crawler motors kv rating is 2700kv which when running a fully charged 4s lipo would be a bit over 45k rpm which to be honest is dang fast, that fast enough to make my 4wd buggy go about 35mph which is only a bit slower than its current set up of 3s lipo w/ 4400kv motor.
what will you be running this in?

Thanks for the info benoj, I was going to try it in my lcc, but looking at your calculations it may a little over the top, 3s probably being sufficient. Still, I'd like to see the look on berg/xr10 owners faces as I shoot past them at 35mph:)

well you losi wouldnt do 35mph that would be CRAZY. but i ran that motor in my old losi on 3s and it had plenty of wheel speed and decent torque, i never really felt i needed more.
