Default Looking into Lipo

I've been considering switching to lipo and wanted to get a list of everything I would need. Here is my current setup.
Traxxas XL-5 wp esc
Integy 35t Pro Lathe motor
3Racing winch
Axial NVS light system

Just wanted to know everything I need to get to keep my setup in good shape. Thanks.

Need to find out if your XL-5 is one of the newer ones with the lipo cutoff. (should say "low voltage detection" on the front panel by the EZ-set button , and the area on top by the heatsink where it says "waterproof" should be blue, not white)

If not, then you'd either need a cutoff (rumor has it the XL-5 can be finicky with the Novak cutoffs), or at least an alarm to prevent discharging too far and damaging your batteries.

Then you just find some lipos you like, and that'll fit, and you're all set.

not sure if it goes without saying or not but you also need a lipo capable charger.

+1, preferably with a balancer.
If you want the power of a running 3S (3 cell LiPO) you may want a BEC as well.
