Default waterproofing winch?

Im in the process of water proofing my electronics and I need to know if or how i need waterproof my 3racing winch

the motor for it i wouldnt worry to much about, just the winch controller should be waterproofed.

X2, just the controller and you should be good, I submerged my scaler lots, and never waterproofed the winch itself, still works as far as I know (I no longer own it)

im thinking about getting a winch and was worried about this as well. think imma just cram the controller with dielectric grease like everything else.

If you end up wrecking one of your winch controllers, consider one of mine. I water proof them with silicone.

Higher Voltage Winch Controller

No Drift Winch Controller! (using 3 position transmitter channel)

Any problems in the water without waterproofing the 3racing winch? I'm debating the waterproofing idea or not.

The control unit will shit itself. The winch itself is fine, but the control unit like most other electronics does not like water.

I just sprayed my controller with liquid tape. I have been full submerged with no issues. The best part is the little button on the controller still works. The liquid tape is flexible enough to allow movement without cracking.

i brushed liquid electrical tape on mine and the button still works
but a did burn one up with 3S stay below 9V.
