Default LRP or traxxas

Well a while ago I went to pick up a water proof esc. I asked for the traxxas but they were out, so I went with this small lrp esc. Ita worked great for a year now. But today I went up to the hobby shop to get an esc for my buddy and I looked at my truck and me lrp sucks, they fry when submerged go and get the traxxas XL-5. What do you guys think?

ive had 2 lrp waterproof escs and both have been under 1 foot or more of water (was making my cr01 a submarine) and it never quit, one one ever went bad but it was from putting to fast of a motor to it.

for what it's worth, i got two xl5's and two lrp a.i. runners. burnt up one xl5 in the water in one truck and put lrp's in both trucks and they've lasted for years. they've been bullet proof in both my trucks. here's what i do at least once every week with my lrp's. sometimes i like to throw a lil mud in the mix.....
