i dotn have this product,b ut based on his page, you're correct, you want to remove the power wire from all connections except rear esc (probably does not matter which esc, the board just needs power), the bec, and the servo.

the only power going to the RX is the BEC

so for your side questions in the image, the top is YES, connect it that powers the WAS board.. the bottom is NO, only the BEC and SERVO should have red wires going to the RX.

your post was very worth while and informative, we all appretiate it.

to the OP, your drawing will work perfectly fine as is, using the one ESC to power the dig, and the BEC powering only the RX and servo.
that is exactly how I used to wire mine.

(also a cleaner version of your wiring setup if you wish)

how I am currently wired is like the following picture, when I was wired like your drawing my one ESC that had the red wire still hooked up hit LVC very early. with my new setup it does not, (the only drawback is running 6v to the servo)
(I am not using FXR's and it may just be cause of the very poor built in BEC of my sidewinder ESC)

i'm not 100% sure what the wantamix can handle for voltage thats why I run it at 6v, if you got your CC-BEC brand new and never programed it should be at 5.1-5.2v in wich case it would be fine, if you are unsure of the voltage, i'd find someone with a castle link to change it/verify what you're set at.

you could also check the output of the BEC with a volt meter/multimeter.

good luck

On my setup one of the ESCs has the red wire pulled.
The other ESC is powering the mix controller and the receiver.
My BEC is powering my steering servo directly.
