Help needed with Novak M2 Dig + Traxxas TQ4

I have been lurking here for a few weeks trying to figure out how to program the M2 Dig with my Traxxas TQ4 2.4Ghz.

This is my first crawler build. I bought a Super Clod kit, Clodzilla IV chassis, and the Novak. I don't have much built yet as I am waiting to get the Clodzilla chassis anodized.

I soldered up the motors and decided to try the Novak out. The motors are not mounted yet, but I wanted to see how everything works.

I modded the radio last night to make the 3 position switch a true 3 position switch (Thanks to Chevellian for the info)

I hooked the Novak up, and tested it out. The 3 position switch does change the speed and direction of the motors. When I out a servo on that channel, the servo moves about 30% of travel with each position of the switch. With the Novak, it seems as it there is no "neutral". One motor is always turning regardless of throttle position and sub trim adjustment. I have the NovaLink and tried the "Dig" and "Proportional Dig". I also changed the "Drag" and "Dig Power" settings. Nothing seems to make any real difference.

I am assuming that I need a proportioned channel for the Novak. I contacted WantaSummit to see if I can get one of the modules he made - but I am out of luck.

Can anyone offer a newbie with an OCD issue some help with this?

Thanks,

Perry
