| CC BEC Above 6V?
So while putting in my new Holmes handwound 35T I decided to up the voltage on my 7955TG to 6.2V...it was currently set as 6.0V. I noticed it was noisier than usual but would this cause any damage to the servo? It seemed to have quicker response...not sure on torque. Is this just a placebo effect? Lol... |

I'm not sure. I believe the "max rated voltage" is 6VDC, I'm running a 7955 @ 6.5VDC right now. I guess I'll find out if it shortens the life of it. |

Your only pushing past what the manufacturer has equated as safe and optimum for it's components. I believe pushing it further (a little) will be fine. Both the 7980 & the 7950 are rated for 7.4V but it also states that they are strait 2s lipo capable, so setting them for 8.4V which is a fully charged 2s lipo is OK. Bottom line, you should be fine. |

I understand that a fully charged lipo is 8.4 volts, but a soon as you pull the trigger it goes down to 8.0 volts, 5 minutes later it is even lower. if im not mistaken, correct me when im wrong. My guess is that maybe 20% of the time driving there is 8.4 volts from the lipo. setting this servo at 8.4v 100% of the time, dunno |
