Default 7955 mod for winch???

I have a 7955 hitec servo I am trying to modify to use as a winch for my scaler build. So my problem is I am having a problem centering the servo and it clicks in one dirrection or the other... Can I fix this problem by using a hitec servo programmer to give it a bigger dead band? Also is there anyone using this servo for a winch? How do you like the torque? Thanks for any help this is my first servo winch...

The clicking could be stripped gears, or bad servo horn. Not sure about using it as a winch sorry.

Sorry clicking as at idle it moves one click at a time(not perfectly centered)... when I turn it in and out it works fine...

yea try a bigger dead band, the 7955 usually has a hard time finding center.

If programming it proves tough, use one of my winch controllers. Check my sig.
