DIY dig switch

I just bought a 250v/5A switch to use on my berg as a dig switch...
How reliable are these switches?
Which wire do i cut to connect(red or black)?
I will just make one cut and let the rear axle freewheel instead of locking it into drag brake...will it still work?
The axles need a bit of a force to run them around when the esc is off so i thought this will work.

its hard to say how reliable it will be without knowing what it actually is but 5A isnt much when i made a dig switch i used 20A switches

I've seen a thread in here where someone used this 5a switches but forgot which one was.

Amp rating sorta decides on how often you replace the switches....period.

I used the same 5A switch for two years before switching to a two ESC setup. You would want to wire your dig switch like this for it to work properly:

What if i don't use the black wire on the rear motor(i'll only use one switch for the rear only)?

Someone who understands electronics better would have to answer that.

I only know that two of my friends tried that and ended up burning 5 switches before wiring the switch according to the diagram. After that no issues.
