Default 2x 2s = 4s. But how should I charge it?

My MMP showed up. I plan to run my unused 2s packs in series to make a 4s pack. My question is, would it be wiser to balance charge them in series with a Y adapter or to balance charge them as individual 2s packs?

I'm guessing it's betst to charge them in series, but was unsure if that's the way to go or not.

Charge it like a 4S with them in series or separate them and charge each pack as a 2S. If you want them balanced properly (which you shouldn't have to do often) then charge them separately with a balancer.

+1.

If they are wired as single 2S packs with a balance port, charge them that way. No new adaptors needed.
Charging them as a 4S will require adapting the balance port to 4S.
