Sidewinder. Although it is sensorless and you will run into some low speed cogging running brushless.

First, totally depends on what you are putting it in. If you are looking for a brand, per se, IMO you can't go wrong with Castle. I run Sidewinders in 2 out of my 3 Honchos, brushed, (my 4 yo has a Rooster Crawler in his, but for him it works fine). I have a Mamba Max in my Slash 4x4, brushless, and I'm putting dual Mamba Micro Pros in both our XRs (brushed). I really like the Castle link programming, and I've had good luck with their products.

im going to be doing pure crawling. not rly worried about wheel speed. with a castle esc i can run any brushed motor i want? im also gonna be getting a honcho kit..but gonna do some pretty extensive crawling with it as well.

the castle link is enough to sell me. cause you can set drag brake and throttle punch so you would hav an esc similar to a "crawler" esc. or dial in more punch or watever, its cool makes for a versatile esc

Or you can get a Tekin RS and run ANY type brushless motor. Both sensored and sensorless! And yes it will run brushed. Smaller, smarter, faster...

i opted for the castle Mamba Max Pro 1cell. It does not have an internal BEC, so an external one is required.... duhhh you are going to do that anyways. No need for a fan. You can run it up to 6s! It also has a cheat mode which is unbelievable. I really like how i can plug it up and easily dial it to whatever i want. It is sensored, so it's for a brushless motor. I have been very happy so far.

Mamba Max Pro or 1-cell. I run a MMP but if I were buying one now I'd get the 1-cell.
