| Motor and Esc compatable?
I was wondering if someone could tell me if i could use a brushed tekin motor with the novak rooster crawler esc. Sorry if its a stupid question. Just dont wanna buy a motor and it not work. I noticed lots of people use diff brands of motor and esc's. So i just wanted to make sure its okay and wont mess anything up.

Yes you can. The Rooster will handle any motor down to a 27T on 6 cell NiMH...35T and up on 7 cell NiMH or 2s Lipo. It sounds like you have the Rooster already, but if not I'd highly recommend going with the Tekin FX-R instead. |

That ESC is funny, some people have nothing but good luck with them, others, nothing but bad luck. I haven't had any problems with my Rooster. I used it on my Axial for a long time, now I have it in my scaler and have no problems at all. The biggest problems I see with it: • No LiPo cutoff, no big deal, you can add one • Only rated to 2S, but people run 3S on it • Large footprint compared to the FXR |
