I have never owned a Futaba servo. I don't doubt they are very good. I am wondering what kind of warranty they have? I know Hitec is awesome. As long as its a TG and you have a receipt, they will send you a new one, no Q asked. Done it with 3 of them over the years. I will buy one in a heart beat if Futaba has replacement warranty. I really like the blue. |

Here is the Futaba warranty policy: http://www.futabarc.com/techsupport/warranty.html And the guys who represent their company on this board are top notch. |

Haven't had any time to get any run time on the servo yet. I have ECC next weekend though, so I will then for sure.

Ran the servo last night for a little bit. I was very impressed with the speed and power. The speed really is what blew me away most of all. The servo does make some noise due to the brushless. I'll make a video so you can all hear it. It's nothing crazy, just louder than a standard brushed servo. Can't wait to put a beating on this servo at ECC this weekend. |

I never looked for one either. I just run 7.4v through my S9157. Seems to like it after 7 months. This will be my next servo though! | |

Hmm Hong Kong has them too, either that or ebay has some damn good fakes. However lets work out the price they'll be in Australia though SuperRoo. Now lets see they retail for $185 in the US, that means the importers in Australia will be selling them for atleast $230 to the hobby shops, now add $100 markup and a bit of tax, hmm lets see I reckon they'll hit the shelves in Australia at $350AUD per servo. Thank goodness for overseas online stores Kieren |

Just purchased one off ebay for the grand total of $183 AUD, man I love our dollar at the moment. Can't wait to give it a go. Kieren |

Been thrashing mine all weekend. At 6 volts its no where near as loud as my 3 minute old BLS152 but at 7.4 volts its much louder. Will be putting the watt meter on it tomorrow if time permits and I'll get some power figures. |

So, how are you testers liking these servos so far? Jdawg53, did you ever find out if the gears are a direct replacement for the 9157 gears.....'cause I stripped out another set of gears over the weekend. It's getting a little frustrating. |

Tim, I have a new BLS157 coming, should be here tomorrow. I can give you a little feedback after the weekend. I also have a 9157 that I just pulled out, you are welcome to borrow it if you need to or if you are having a hard time finding the gears. |

I know hitec is coming out with a line of BL servos using CC motors, they're supposed to come out in July. Link: http://www.bigsquidrc.com/hitec-hsb-...shless-servos/ |

Still loving mine, super impressive performance. Once other people start getting them you will get better feedback from non-bias reviewers I'm sure.

| I'm fine Dave.....I threw a 7955 in the Willy's to finish out the weekend. I'm just getting tired of dropping $35 on gears every couple of weeks. Tell me how you like the BLS157 once you get a half dozen packs through it. You ever have trouble with gears in your 9157?
