Question Dual Stick mixing & RDS8000 questions

I watched this video and want to setup a stick radio with mixing to do the same thing with an MOA, dual ESC crawler:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g-7aVseFBE

If you don't want to watch it it boils down to setting up a radio with ALL of these options. He's using a really cheap Hobbico but I'm wondering if you can do the same with an RDS8000 or similar radio,
  • control two ESC's from a single stick
  • control one ESC from one stick and the other ESC from the other stick
  • use one of the switches to turn off either the front or rear ESC for full dig
  • have one stick driving both ESC's again, but turn on the second stick and use it to reduce power or increase power to the rear ESC while still controlling both with the other stick (proportional overdrive or underdrive to one ESC)

Let me repeat for clarity that he has the radio setup to provide ALL of these functions--not just a few. I know at least two of the items require mixing so that's kind of key to the type of radio that can do this.

Also, does anyone have a PDF of the 1 page crawler instructions that come with the crawler version of the RDS8000 radio?

Thanks in advance!

Jerry

I've wondered about this as well. Anyone out there with experience in programming the rds8000? Is this sort of mixing possible?

Yes. Go to http://www.airtronics.net/index.php/...y-rds8000.html and download the Crawler Version Supplement. It will tell you how to setup the c-mix. Once setup one stick will run both axles, at which point the other stick will speed, slow down, stop or reverse the rear axle.
