Traxxas Electronics?

Anything wrong with the Traxxas electronics? I need to upgrade my super-crappy servo, thought a waterproof traxxas one would be the ticket. Don't see many trucks running traxxas stuff, there must be a reason...? I was also thinking a Summit set up would be great for a scaler, big power, dual range, locking diffs, etc. But again, don't really see it.

Knowledgeable info appreciated, thanks!

The servos are waterproof true but dont have the torque that alot of the ones people are using do. I did use one of the brushed waterproof esc's for awhile and had no troubles with it whatsoever--still use it in my kyosho blizzard in fact..

As far as the summit goes, i modded mine to the narrower stance and with a brushed system is unstoppable--almost not fair to the little 2.2's and 1.9 guys :ror: (almost 8))

Thanks, just wanted to make sure they're not crap. I'll try a servo, it has more than double the torque of the one in my truck now, can't be too bad. And my next project just might be Summit powered!

The problem with TRX servos is not necessarily the torque but more so the plastic gears which strip constantly. The radio's are okay but are very limited in functionality, no epa's, not mixing, etc.

The motors and ESC's are just basic as well and not really meant for high performance with the exception of the Mamba Monster combo that comes in the BL revo and emaxx.
