| rc4wd vs. integy?
so I've searched and well it seems that there isn't to much comparison of the motors, and I'm trying to find a decently cheap 35T or 45T motor, both have them and for a pretty cheap price but whats better between them? I have heard integy is good but they have been known to have egg shape comms? what about the rc4wd motors? any info would help

RC4wd motors are sealed can so they are defiantly a bit 'Meh' Integy can be ok, just break it in well and then get the comm cut. As for a comparison between the 2 if i only had a choice between them i would go for the integy. If you have a choice for something else look at a HH Sport machine wound, Tekin machine wound, Novak etc. If you've got the $$ go for a HH hand wound or a Br00D hand wound...world of difference. |

machine wound? what is that because all the teken motors I see, say hand wound. is it cheaper? have the same performance as the hand wound? I know nothing of electronics and the tech thread is a little old and doesn't really talk about the different kinds. for the holmes, were you talking about this motor? http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/hh-sp45.htm Last edited by demonoid369; 03-28-2011 at 04:34 AM. |

Hand wound is more expensive but pack more punch, machine wound are cheaper but lack in the torque departmet. If you can justify the extra cost then get the hand wounds.

Tekin hand wounds are call the 'pro' (blue can i think). Even so their hand wounds wouldnt be as good as a Br00d or a Holmes IMO. They is a big different in performance between hand wound & machine wound....BIG difference. The link you gave is for a machine wound holmes. This is a hand wound: http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=17&page=1 This is the new(ish) Crawlmaster handwound: http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=17&page=1 Have a read of the motor tweaks/comm cutting thread...there is alot of info in there to pick up. | |
