Default Servo woes

Hello all. I am having an issue with my Hobbico c5170 on my XR10. Im running stock knuckles with BWD knuckle extension, Chaotic titanium rod, Racers edge servo horn, and hubs clocked all the way back. I am experiencing steering issues turning to the left with the short steering rod. It will turn all day to the right( when the servo pushes). But to the left (when the servo pulls) it has next to no power. It is set to 6.0 volts. Any info would be much appreciated as i am out of ideas. Thanks

I was running the link in the back of the horn but changed it to the front hoping to see some change and i got nothing. The servo is supposed to be rated for 3330z. so i doubt its not strong enough. maybe im wrong

well one is the position of your rod. it helps when its in line with the axle.
two. that short shaft puts a lot of torque on that servo.

Think of lifting a rock with a 2' pipe with the pivot point close to the rock. Probably not going to lift too well. now change your pivot point in the middle with a longer rod and you just increased your lift power.

But you definately have some binding issues that the angle and pitch is all wrong.

BTW, its 333oz.of torque at its widest point. But if you are binding it from making its arch. then all you are doing is decreasing the power band.

so do you think it would be better to go with a shorter horn or to attach the link to the bottom of the knuckle extension?

well if you insist on using the short shaft instead of using a longer one to the other side. then by all means, yes attach it to the underside of the knuckle arm.
all a shorter arm will do is make it harder. and decrease your torque.
