Default Solder questions

Just recieved my new br-xl. I have a traxxaas plug already soldered to a bec. I am wondering if i can just the wires together (+ to +, - to -), and shrink tube the connections. Do I need to use a new plug? This is my first time soldering. Thanks.

With any wiring the fewer solder joints the better. I wouldn't do anything that could be done without. My advise on soldering is make sure your your gun gets nice and hot, your solder has lead in it and flux (the kind thats made for electronics) really helps. All of that you can find at radio shack. Good luck
