| scale winch that picks up more than 4 lbs???
It seems that the popular winches being used are not rated to pull very much weight. 3R racing pulls 2.2 lbs http://os.3racing.hk/products.php?products_key=3686 RCFWD bulldog pulls 4.4 lbs http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/rc4z-e0015.htm How about this off road winch line made from 1:1 line? Couldn't find a load rating http://www.rpphobby.com/product_p/scav-sd00001.htm any other winches that I should consider? Some say either will pick their rig off the ground but have read threads that both will burn the motors up if they pull more than their rated capacity. Who's got one I should try that will pick up a 10lb scaler |

Get yourself a Hitec 5645MG, a Heyok drift hack, one of my warpig winch spools, and my winch line, fairlead, and hook when its available this weekend.

| Does this servo really work that well? I know alot of people use them, but i was surprised when i saw it was only 40 oz more then a 645. I ended up getting a savox @277 oz and alil faster transit time for the same money.

OK, its looking good for the warpig, however, I keep hearing about the "servo" winches. How do you get a servo to rotate like a motor? I thought they all just go 90 deg except for model sailboat winches that usually only turn 5 or 6 revolutions? Thanks, in advance, Ron

The easiest way is to replace the circut board in the servo with the drift-free controller from Heyok on here and remove the pin or step on the main output gear of the servo to allow it to rotate 360 degrees. Then all you have to do is figure out how to put a spool or drum on the output to wind the cable on... Check out Team3six's new servo spools, they look beefy and shiny... |
