Default servo and bec prob

Ok I searched and found nothing.
I just put a high voltage servo in my buddies LCC
He has a DX3R with a sr3100 rx
Xcelorin esc and 17.5 motor
When I hit the throttle the steer goes back and forth like its steering crazy. What could be the issue? I have the CCBEC wired to the servo power leads, so the esc is powering the rx and the dig servo.
Please help me out. And thanks in advance.

is the servo ground wire (black) hooked up to the RX?

sounds like a grounding issue.

same reason we only pull the red wire from the signal harness on the ESC when powering the RX with the BEC

What was the issue. Hope it was a simple fix

he doesn't seem to want to admit i'm right , he hooked the ground wire up to the reciever and bam! works perfect. (aswell as pos/neg on the BEC)

glad you got it going, just busting your chops
