Default Radios explained?

I'm in the market for a new radio (and yes, I know there's a large amount of radio threads) but feel that I don't know enough about how they work.

Such as...what specs do I need to look for if I'm running 4-wheel steer (w/ diff steer modes)? And I may run dig eventually, so I need 3rd channel with 3 pos. switch, right? And I can add a 3rd position if radio only has 2?

Btw, Im running moa, one esc, 2 steering servos as stated...

Thanks

There are several radios that will work for your application. I run the Futaba 4PL on my 2.2 (MOA, single servo) and am happy with the setup. It gives you the ability to run either dual ESCs or a single ESC with a dig unit and will work with either. However, for rear steer, I dont like the setup. I prefer the thumbwheel on my Nomadio React for rear steering duties. I use my React with my super (dual ESCs, front/rear steer).

I noticed that you are in Houston.....I would be more than happy to meet you somewhere and show you both of these radios and how they will work with the different crawlers.

hey jeremy, i have a 4ch 2.4 system out of a summit, how can i modify the 4th ch to work an electronic dig unit? the controler says 3 pos 4th ch, but upon inspection i found that the 4th ch combines the 4th and 5th on the reciver. how do i make it a true 3 pos switch on the controler?
