Default Tekin and Punk Vs. Novak M2

I'm building up an XR10 and I'm weighing my options between the M2 and the FXR and a Punk.
I know the M2 had a lot of teething issues in the early builds, but I have heard the new versions are better sorted.
My big question is what are the capability differences between the two setups? I've never run a Punk dig, so I'm not sure what it can do. Is it simply 100% on or off for the front and rear motor, or is it variable?

Full dig only, front and rear. No proportional dig.

+1, I'm running a single CC MM through a servo dig (basically the same as a PunkDig). I have full front dig, full rear dig or full 4WD, no "in between". The M2 "should" give other ratio options.

You could also do do dual ESC's and have other options, depending on your radio.......Then you could have other than 100%/full for various digs.

My first question would be what radio are you running and do you plan on using this same radio in the future?

Currently I am running a DX3E, but I will most likely be upgrading to the DX3C when it comes out. I may also pick up a Dx6i at some point for my planes that should be a pretty good radio for the XR10 as well.
I know that my current radio limits what I can do with the MOA/Dig situation, but I would like to get a speed control that will offer some extra features I can use once I upgrade the radio.
At this point I want to stay away from the dual speed controls for cost reasons, although someday I would like to run two FX-Rs.

DX3R, tekin, with punk. Nice and easy set up. Hated it for awhile, until I found out it was my cc bec that failed, not the tekin or punk.

After reading the 40+ page thread on the Novak M2, I think I'll stick with a FXR and a Punk dig. The FXR in my AX10 has been awesome, so I think I'll stick with that for now, and once I upgrade radios, I'll just need to get another FXR.

You could check on one of the "external mixers" to run 2 FXR's now. I'm getting a WannaDig myself to run 2 ESC's on my 2.2 Bully MOA with a Futaba 3PM-x.

LosiKid now does the WannaMix & WannaDig
Heyok does his own version

From what I have read the DX3C is supposed to be able to do dual ESC mixing.

If you decide to go the single ESC direction, consider my dig controller:
MOA Dig Controller

It is smaller than the Punk offering and if you have any difficulty, I am very easy to contact.

Wait for the DX3C. Its not too far off release now. Run the FXR for now without dig and then get another esc. Buy stuff once. Propo kicks ass.

If you want to stick with one esc an fxr and heyok dig will get you by till your ready to step up to two esc's. If you wanna get two esc now but still want to run the 3e I am selling wantamix's which with a 3e will give you front and rear dig, proportional is possible to if you swap into Lin mode.

I picked up an FXR at my local hobby shop this afternoon. Once I upgrade radios I'll get another FXR and see what I can do with that.
