Default Strange problem with Duratrax Sprint ESC

I am having a problem with my Duratrax Sprint ESC. I bought an SCX10 with the Duratrax ESC, and a Traxxas am radio set, it works fine but I wanted to upgrade to a 2.4ghz set like I have in my other one. so I bought a Traxxas TQ LINK system (same thing I have in my other one) and hooked it up and it doesnt work. The steering servo works, so I know the LINK system is working and getting power from the ESC, but it wont go foward or reverse. I found the instructions on how to setup the ESC (turn on and the green light will come on for a second and you move throttle all the way front and back) but the green LED never comes on like they say it will and the programming instructions don't do anything. I hooked it back up to the old AM set and it works just fine... Any ideas?

Is the trim pot on the TX throttle set to "0" as well as the EPA's set to "100%" (endpoint adjustments)??

If not, do so & try the ESC setup again.

Yeah, they both are, the problem is that the green LED doesn't flash like they say it will when you first plug it in, even with the working AM radio set hooked up

Turn the esc and transmitter on like you said you did before where the steering works and then try turning your throttle trim from about 1/4 to1/2 or even a little farther VERY SLOWLY and see if it will register, it might take turning it back and forth a few times before it works. Worked on my axial ae-2 with similiar issues.
