Default Is Hobbywing ESC Waterproof ?

I bought a 60amp Hobbywing eZRun-60A-SL Brushless ESC for 1/10 Car (Version 2.0). The instructions say its waterproof. I burned out my old ESC (associated) by running in the snow. Anybody have any experience with their hobbywing ESC ?? Its going to be a long Winter if I can't run it outdoors !!! http://site.hobbypartz.com/hobbywing/HW-13-V2.pdf

I believe they are more "splashproof" than "waterproof". I've had mine apart...they're sealed up fairly well, but not enough to make want to take it swimming.
