Default motor keeps bogging!

well, got a 27t trinity motor for my scx10. now that its hooked up. its bogs out really bad from a dead stop. my esc can handle down to a 12t and battery is fully charged. its like its not getting enough power. it works fine when i pick it up or ease on the throttle. but when i floor it, thats when it bogs.

what do you think it could be?

brushes are fine
comm is fine
conections are fine

please help! i really wanna get my truck running!

thanks!

Geared to high. Use a lower tooth count pinion.

Yes, that gearing is way high. Try going back to the stock 87t spur.

But in saying that, it sounds like the battery cant handle the instant amp draw the motor is asking for when you punch it.
I had the same symptoms with my comp rig ages ago and traced it back to old batteries that weren't giving enough discharge.

Try putting the spur back to stock. If that doesn't work, try a different battery.

It could be a couple of things, already mentioned.

1-You likely dropped the motor wind from stock (from a ~55T to 27T), thus it WANT's to spin faster, but you had the original motor geared for faster. The 27T motor is having issues spinning up due to the gearing.
2-You battery may not be up to the task of the lower turn motor.

How is your gear mesh? If it's too tight, it can also make the rig do what you are describing.

Gear mesh is one thing to check. Pick the car up off the floor and punch it, if it cuts out then you are having a current problem. What plugs are you running, Tamiya? What battery?

yea i had a integy lathe 35t on 75t-23t gearing, worked fine but wasnt fast enough
so i installed the 27t on same gearing and bogs to much. im goin to try the stock gearing and see if its better

and gear mesh is perfect.

Defiantly switch to lipo, something over 30c discharge rate would be just fine! I know the initial cost sucks but you won't be disappointed!

Hobbyking has lipo chargers for very cheap. A friend of mine has great luck with this accucell-6 for $23: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7028

Yeppers......get rid of any bullet or Tamiya connectors (with the exception of the heavy duty CC style bullets). The cheaper bullets & Tamiyas will degrade over time and add resistance to the connection. This makes heat which makes it all worse.
