Default Bent Servo Ears

Noticed this on my XR10.

The servo ears are slightly bent. Especially the top right one. I hope it is clear enough on the photo.

Should I be worried? Or is that normal? If I should be worried, what can I do to fix the issue?

Caused by over tightening or being caught in a bind?

As you can see in the photo, it is a Futaba S9157.

I usually throw a washer under the heads to spread the load out a little bit. Its not a huge deal but you could break them and need to buy a new case.

I always use washers and make sure not to overtighten.

I tried looking for cases last night and was getting a bit worried. But I obviously wasn't looking hard enough. Thanks for the tip too guys.

Servo clamps are the best way to go. Or, servo armor.

Check out our servo clamps, not only does it reduce the problem but still works on servos who have already broken an ear off.
