3 racing winch

Does anyone know how to get this winch to work with a traxxas 4 channel radio? I have tried both channel 3 and 4 and I can't get the winch to stop, it either goes out or in but no stop. It works fine if you use the stock board. Any suggestions

The board that comes with it controls out and in when hooked to the receiver. Much like an ESC would.

Unless you control it with an ESC or are able to control the reversing of a motor, your out of luck.

The radio also must be a true 3 channel 3 position.

You can't just hook it up to the Rx and expect the Rx to do that.

Unless you do a modification to that transmitter, I believe that you can only get two positions with the extra channels (as you said!).

I make a winch controller that will let you use a two position channel to control it.
