Default DX3C radio dig question

I'm new to crawling and even newer to the dig. My dig is on the way but i still have a 2 ch radio. With the dx3x how do you engage/control the dig? does the radio program the servo for the 4 wheel, 2 wheel, and rear lock. Can a 3 way switch be simply wired to select the 4,2 or locked?

Basically, you'll be able to set the endpoints for the dig servo just like you set the endpoints for the steering servo. If the DX3C has a 3-position 3rd channel, you'll be able to set 3 points on the 3rd channel. It's something you have to tinker with to get it set up correctly.

I haven't seen the DX3C in person, but it looks like there's a button on the radio that controls the 3rd channel, just like most 3ch radios. The manual is not on the Spektrum site yet.

If you are using this on a shaft truck with mechanical linkage, then it's easy to set up. I'm not sure about MOAs.

Hopefully that will get you started.

THe DX3C does have third channel just like the DX3E. The # in the model means third channel. The DX3C is on the Spektrum website and will show you the basics.

The preview video for the DX3C indicates that the 3rd channel can be assigned to do 2 position, 3 position, or linear.

I have not been able to adjust end points for my 3 position dig. I have hooked up my servo and can move it the three positions, but need to limit travel.
Any ideas?

I don't see a user manual posted up on the Spektrum site yet, otherwise I would try to help.

Thanks for the link.

Yes, the travel adjustment on page 8 is what you want to use to adjust your end points.

In the travel screen, select Aux, and then set your H and L values.

This is also is referenced on page 11 when assigning a switch to Aux 3P (which I assume you are using for your dig).

If you need to adjust your center point as well, it looks like you can do this with the sub trim setting on page 10.

Let us know how it works out!

Sorry to the OP for the hijack...

Well... thanks wantAsummit for pushing me to read the manual
After a bout an hour of messing with the settings, lenght of linkage and stuff... it moves to all 3 positions smooth as butter.

VP makes some nice but expensive bling!
The MIP cup will need some massaging or the bracket mounting holes sloted and bracket rotated up a tad.

Thanks for all the help RCC!!!
