Timing?, on sealed can RC4wd's

I am getting a couple 45t RC4wd motors for my MOA. It occurred to me that they may be timed for the usual "forward" direction. Does anyone know if this is enough to affect the rear/front motors torque and speed?

I've searched, and found users with the wheelspd issue, but they didn't put their solution in the thread.

if they have any advanced timing for forward then the rear motor will be slower and have less torque and likely wear out sooner since it timing will then be retarded.

Thanks for answering, I got that part.

But does anyone know if they DO HAVE advanced timing? since they are a sealed can. I'd prefer to NOT be RETARDED If I can help it.

I would assume that they would be at 0...Different models often rotate in different directions so I would think a sealed motor would work for either direction.

While I've never examined the 540 sized Mabuchi or Johnson motors for timing, I'd guess they are timed since a bit of timing helps efficiency. If you can hear a difference in RPM when you hook it up correctly vs reversed, they are timed.

On the 370 sized motors, you can turn the endbell to time them. Not sure if the 540 endbells are keyed in place or not.
