i just bought a losi night crawler to give crawling a try. but after my first use with the lipo it has a very slight puff to it....almost didnt notice it.
why was it all good with my summit but a little puffy with the crawler? anyone know

what kind of puff are you talking about is the battery smoking/ does it work at all? Or is the truck just seem slow to you? night crawlers are slow with the worms

If you've given the right specs (2000mahx2C) that means that lipo is only putting out 4amps! Not enough for any vehicle...Hence the puffiness...

I should have done it in the mini summit as well though.

If it was just a slight puff, was it swelled up before you used it crawling? (and you just didn't notice)

Ah, ok...That sounds like a better C rating, rules out that issue then.

How many cycles (charges & discharges) has the pack had through it...if its fairly old it would start to puff.
Have you checked the voltage of each sell, it may have over discharged one or two cells at some stage.

There are a few possible reasons why it may have puffed.

You could still run it if you want, worst case scenario is it goes bang & catches fire when you charge it one time.
Choice is yours mate, if you don't feel safe running it, don't.
Just discharge & dispose of it.
