| Would a capacitor help
I am not much of an electro guy but here is what I am doing. I am running a servo s9551 which is not rated for 7.4 volts directly off a 2s 45c battery. I know the servo is rated for a 6volt rating but few guys in my area have had good luck with this setup. Would a capacitor help control spikes or dips in power, or even be recommended when doing this? If so how would you mount it from a layout standpoint, and what capacitor would you get? Thanks all. you should not run it at that voltage, it may work but will not last very long and capacitor will not help. s9551 122 oz/in @6volts $80 hitec 645mg 133oz/in @6volts $28 these are both actually to low torque for 2.2 comping, dont get me wrong they WILL work, but they will both be gettin worked very hard. look for something 300 oz/in and up and give it direct power from a cc bec. |

This is going on a 1.9 rig. I know a lot of guys who run bodiless are running low profile servo's as the body hits the servo up front on articulation.

ahhhh, okay. I would get a cc bec and wire it direct to the servo at 6 volts using the esc bec to power the rx. I was having glitchy issues on my s9157 futaba and it cleared up after wiring it direct.

Wasp26jim. I appreciate your input on this but I think I am going to give it a go. I talked to some of the trusted local guys last night running my same servo on the same setup I was suggesting and one of the m has run this for 2 years with no issues.
