Default trying to fine tune the cheap way

so i got this truck with castle mamba max pro esc. i already had a full xcelorin setup.

my question: is there any way to use the xcelorin usb and adapter to sync with the mamba max pro?
i have tried and failed. i have searched....and failed.
any feedback appreciated

you need a castle link. the losi usb adapter will not work

I believe you just need a standard USB to mini-USB cable, then download the software from CC's site.
The Castle Link also includes a small PC board for use with the BEC's.

okay so i got a coupon to get a free castle link but when i go to check out with paypal it says it fails

You definitely don't need a castle link for the mamba max. Charlie-III is right. The mamba max uses the same cable most point and shoot cameras use, as well as the ps3 controllers.

Only the old Mamba Max uses the mini USB, The Mamba Max Pro and other ESC's (Sidewinder, Mamba Micro) need the same little PC board the BEC uses to hook into the rx wires.

IIRC when i got my free cclink with the coupon i checked out with just a credit card since it wont charge to it since i couldnt get the paypal to work either
