Default Bulldog Winch Problem

Having an issue with a brand new Bulldog Winch I just received from RC4WD. I have a Futaba 3PM-X and have end points +100, 0, -100 on my 3rd channel for control. The winch spools, and un spools just fine, but at the neutral point it just chatters away. I adjust the little pot on the winch controller itself and find the neutral point, but when I cycle the winch again with the TX and come back to neutral, it starts to make noise and chatter again.

Sent a few emails to RC4WD, but have not heard anything from them. Any help would be appreciated guys.

Anyone have an idea before I order a 3Racing winch?

It sounds like your winch might be fine, but the problem might be in the electronics that drive the winch. I make winch controllers and they have no trouble with a neutral point or winch creep. Check the link in my sig if you are interested.
Thanks,
Al

Benny, I can vouch for heyok's controlers! I bought one and it works great! No Creep, works perfect, and priced reasonable too!
I'm going to buy one of his DIG units when I start on my XR10.
Oh yeah, he's a great guy to deal with too

Al, thanks for your advice. I'll send you a PM with a few more questions.

Heyok's controller works perfect!! No drift and all is quiet at center with no chattering.

After doing a ton more reseasch about the Bulldog winch, looks like RC4WD is having tons of the same issue's as I did with their controllers. So if anyone is considering purchasing one, be prepared to replace the controller, preferably with Heyok's!!

When I ordered my Bulldog winch, I went ahead and ordered Heyok's controller at the same time. I used Al's from the start, because of the problems I had already read about. It just plain WORKS!

Sorry that the stock controllers didn't work for you though.

My bulldog had the same issue.. Before I dropped any more money on it I just ran it directly off a 2s lipo and the problem was solved.. I couldn't tell you why it works, but I've run it this way for 6 months now and have not had to re-adjust the centering on it...
