Default killing power to servo

which wire would i need to put a switch on for a servo winch to kill power. it has just a little creep to it which gets a little frustrating. is it the red power one or the white signal one

I would use a power wire, if you cut signal I'm pretty sure that the winch will just start running...

+1, power is the red or black (brown) wire. Don't cut the white (yellow) one, that is signal.

Or look up Heyok, he does a winch controller.

Did I hear my username?

I'm just wondering, are you wanting to remove power from the moving servo because that servo is being used as a winch? Or are you doing something else with that servo?

Right. So as the others were saying, just open up the positive wire going to the servo and you should be good.
If that gets annoying, you might consider one of my winch controllers (see the link to my stuff in my sig).
