Default bk warrior and feigao setup

So I know this setup is a little out dated, but that is all i've got right now. well I went for a little run up and down the alley the other night and hit a little puddle, and now things are not working the way they did. the motor get hot really quick and wont spin much and the esc gets hot. is this setup done for?

Could be a whole slew of things. Being as that setup has zero support now you are limited. Take the shrink off the warrior and run a hair drier over it to dry it it good. Re-shrink at test. I would open the motor up as well and check everything including the bearings. If it's been a while since you ran it and it's sat a while there could be other issues contributing to your problems.

I took the motor apart seems to be in good shape. I had it going after the water, ie the next day but when you would hit wot it would just become non-responsive for a few seconds and than it would move under its own power than repeat. now all the motor does is spin back and forth and get really hot!

Sounds like you have a dead phase on your esc.

Well, since BK's service is almost nonexistent at this point and there are so many more brushless options on the market today I would toss it. You are the first person I have seen in several years still using one.

You can pick up a CC Mamba Max Pro for 105 from rpp which has more power handling than the BK and is 6s capable. It's also fully programmable.

There are many other options too, if you need cheap www.hobbypartz.com has some units for under 50 that will fit your needs just fine. They aren't the best out there but will work.

ok thanks. the mamba max looks good, but 105 is a bit much for just an esc. i've been looking for a new setup for my short course truck that I just got, thinking of getting one of the new sidewinders.

The warrior came out of my old stampede, so I dont need to much of any esc. I have seen a lot of the ezrun setups on ebay, dont know to much about them.
