Default Airplane rodio Radiolink T4EU for 4whells steering?

In my search of a better TX/RX that allow me to keep my 4WS I've noticed that some people are using plane radio...
So I've looked around and found those affordable TX/RX sets:
All T4EU specs(4channels TX and 6channels+aux RX):
http://www.radiolink.com.cn/upload/2...1270694380.pdf

One of the things is that they are saying that the RX need 4.8V or 6V Nicd battery...
will the RX burn down if used wtih my 7.2V NiMh??

But first of all would tha TX/RX set will be good for what i want??

I keep searching, so keep helping me...

That radio will work well for independent rear steering. I like to run the rear and front on the same stick so the steering is more fluid. As for the battery you can run your receiver off your esc because it will only allow up to 6V to the receiver unless a setting has been changed. You cant run the receiver off a 7.2V battery unless stated by the producer. Running a reciver 6V pack will offer the best performance. If you go that route you must remove the red wire from the esc to receiver plug.

I use an RDS8000, My setup is listed below. There are many more functions on this radio, than the one you are looking at. Hopefully it will give you an idea of the possibilities.
  • Mode 1
    • Left Stick = Front Wheels Only
    • Right Stick = Rear Wheels Only
  • Mode 2 (Flip the AUX Switch)
    • Left Stick = Mode 2 on your image
    • Right Stick = Mode 3 on your image

I used a stick radio on mine, left stick was throttle and rear steer and left stick front steer. This is based on 2 channel stick radio setup (left throttle, right [front] steering) with the added rear steer.

If you haven't used sticks yet then use any configuration you see fit. They'll all take time to get used to, but then when crawling you usually have lots of time to think and adjust your controls.

So the Radiolink T4EU with only 4 channels will be enough?
And looking at the pics from the manual showing the TX and RX, how should I plug my front and rear servos + ESC + CC BEC?
Also they are offering radio for airplane and radio for helicopter, I will use my radio for a crawler so does it make anny differences if choose an helicopter radio rather than a plane radio??
The heli radio is the T6EHP:
Here is the user manual:

They are both affordable, but I dont want to make a mistake because an affordable radio that I couldn't use would still be to expenseive...

I'm not familiar with these particular radios, but generally heli radios just have special mixing modes for helis which I doubt you'd ever find useful, so you can just buy the plain plane radio. The simpler the radio the better, you don't want to accidentally flip a special mode or mix switch and spend loads of time trying to figure out why your crawler isn't working right.

For my setup the ESC goes into ch 3-throttle, front steer in ch 1-aileron, and rear steer in ch 4-rudder. The BEC should go in the battery connector, appears to be labelled 7/B on this RX. Don't forget to pull out the red wire from the ESC when using a BEC.

Hint: when you get the radio make sure all mixing is disabled or set to 0% mix and dual rates set to 100%. Use EPAs to set steering end points rather than dual rate. This way if you do flip some switch by accident you won't notice any difference.
