depends on the ESC your using. If it has a low BEC rating, you'll need to run a reciever pack,or nitro servo regulator.what do you mean they are soldered together? The wires? You should run a independent rear stear, but the y-harness will work.Just make sure you check the BEC rating on your ESC.What ESC are you gunna run?

Definitely depends on the ESC's BEC out put, My friend Brian runs dual servos on the front of his race clod with custom mounts and the bottom link behind the gear box (uses custom mounts of the knuckles facing backwards), he also runs a rear servo for the tight tracks that is limited to only 3-5% throw (he has a futaba 3pk remote ). He also runs a reciever pack... Hope this helps Mike |

You can do it, especially if your servos are weaker ones. If they are strong servos you will over-drive the BEC and the ESC could shut down or smoke (depending on the circuit board it has).

they are wekaer then the hs-645 fot sure and solderd trough wires so i cant seperate them so i thougt to run the 2 weka ones in the front and one hs-645 in the front so.. does anyone knwos if the bec of that esc's are good anough im gonna run the seconad one i thinks because that one can drive reverse. so can it be done with that novak speed controller?(explorer mega fet sport bec: B.E.C. (volts / amps)5.0 / 0.5 here's the link of the explorer: http://www.teamnovak.com/products/es...ecs/index.html |

5.0 volts is good. 0.5 amp is bad.

If you run 2 servos that have differant transit times, you will fry a servo. I know this because I did it. One was .17 seconds, the other was .21 seconds. It took about 3 weeks and the faster servo cooked. It was turning the front tires plus the other servo. Way to much load.

You were running unmatched servos for one steering setup? That just wouldnt do.

If running twin servo's why have the track rod as well?? Had considered trying this arrangement instead of running digital's |

To keep the both tires pointed in the same direction.

crawl_rookie, to answer your last question I would say not, if my understanding of electrics is right Had a look at the Hitec website to investigate torque figures and also noticed the amp draw figures. For the 645 alone at stall it draws 0.45A, that nearly all of your BEC gone on the one servo. You also have another two servo's to run. The speed and power of the servos are going to be severly hampered. If you run the likes of the Telin Rebel 2, that comes with a 6V/5A BEC you will have more than enough to power the three servos. While on the site I checked over the 5998's that I'm running, 0.24A at idle upto 3A at stall....no wonder at times the steering is a bit sluggish. Looks like I could be investigating the twin servo route. Figures for the 945 are 153oz of torque with a current draw of 6.6mA at idle upto 0.5A at stall. This I would say gives me 300oz of torque for a max of 1A draw. I could still run my 4WS for only 2A draw......less than the one digital servo. | |

If you're running a seperate servo battery pack then I don't believe you will have any problems
