Default how to set model memory on the RC4WD xr4

ok, Ive been messing around reading forums and everything trying to figure this out for a while...

I know the xr4 has model memory and i know how to make the first 3 numbers/letters change but how do i get the last two to change? are they supposed to change? I have an AX10 with the 4 channel receiver in it and i just got another receiver for my SCX10. I would like to control both vehicles with the same xr4 controller. I got the SCX10 to operate now but when i go to run my AX10 all the settings, like epa and rev are still set for my SCX. How/ or can I even, set the model and save it so that when I switch I can just choose that truck on the LED screen and have all my saved settings?

help please! The RC4WD instructions are horrible!

I believe you use the "-/+" buttons to change the model select.

Here is a link to the manual.

well if it took you this long to look at your post. I guess you figured it out. Good for you.

and I didn't have my radio in hand at work...sorry about that, is in the car now...but if you look at the controls under the screen. there are buttons like up, down, left, right....I "thought" they were arrows.

ok guys thanks for the replys... I found the manual a little confusing, but i get it now. rc4wd emailed me back about it and said the (+) (-) button at the start screen is how to move the memory set. Everything is set now and working fine! thanks!

one more thing that I found out tonight..as I was setting up my Slash...I was adjusting the steering trim...Had to keep resetting it. Lesson learned...you have to press the SEL button till you get back to the "home screen" or it won't save it. I would set the trim, then drive around..I guess the controler "timed out" and reset the trim back to 0.

just a hint.

Yea I came across that too. I guess it locks it in when you go back to the main screen. Ok so I have everything figured out, I know what the EPA is for the steering, but does anyone know what exp is? I'm still new to the controls of a controller. Thanks!

EXP means exponential.

What that means is at a full throw of the throttle if steer, what percentage will translate to the vehicle. This is not used in crawling as much as racing. Example is SCT racing. Some people will dial out their steering so it translates slower than the actual. 75% would mean that when you steer, it will turn 3/4 of the actual speed. This helps you from spinning out on loose tracks but still gives you the full turn radius.

Typing on phone, so hope it makes sense.
