Your DX3R will not run a dual ESC setup without using something like the "want-a- summit" dual esc adapter.. I think Losikid is selling them now. Otherwise, you'll need something like the Futaba 4pl. |

damn. can someone explain how running a duel esc works and what is needed in a tx to run it? edit: also i just found that my dx3r has mixing, and from what i understand that is what you need to run duel esc's correct? Last edited by Chappy4o; 05-31-2011 at 08:01 AM. |

Te mixing function in the DX3r is mostly for braking and not for mixing two ESCs running two motors. I use it to mix the ESC and brake servo on my 1/8 e-buggy. Tried to make it work with dual ESCs and it is a no go. I then hooked it up with the WantAsummit adapter and it worked well. Since then I pulled out my trusty old Futaba 3PKS from the closet which does have full mixing capabilities and set it up as in Harley's 4PK set up and it works like a charm. (Good thing I didn't sell that radio.) So now I only use the DX3R for racing and my Futaba 3PKS for crawling. |

Pretty simple, battery power to both ESC's, from each ESC output to each motor (wiring on rear motor is swapped for the different rotation), WannAmix plugs into throttle channel on RX, outputs to each ESC. A little more than that, but that is the basics. I switched from a servo dig to the WannAmix, works better now. Link... you can run duals on the new dx3r pro and you can mix them with each other you just don't have immediate dig functions with it but if you mix all the way to one end or the other at a 10% mix its takes a bit but it does work and will mix and dig.... you can run the novak dig with it works fine with dual fxr's but no mixing with that..... I myself ordered a wantamix a few days ago still waiting for it to come in but I just wanted to chime in a say yes it can work with the mixing feature of the dx3r with a simple three channel rx |
