You need a lipo cutoff.

Pack looks to be good for a crawler. CBP carries quality stuff.

I think Novak makes one, otherwise you need an ESC with cutoff built in.

A good cheap cost Li-Po ready ESC is the Losi LOSB9522. NOT LOSB9521 <----That one is NOT li-po ready. Just got one off ebay for 21.00 shipped to me new.

what exactly does a drag brake do? i searched a lil but not 100% sure on it. does it just stop the motor when the throttle is in the neutral positin? if so, mine might have that because as soon as i let off the throttle, my car stops right in its tracks.

Thats probaly just the brakes. Drag brakes hold the rig still while sitting on a hill. The last thing you want is for the rig to roll down the hill, you will flip. also you dont want to have to double tap to go into reverse because with instant reverse you can keep the truck from flipping sometimes. I'm assuming that esc doesnt have instant reverse but i dont know.

It prolly doesnt have drag brake then, and you have to double tap for reverse..

Drag brake & instant/double tap reverse are 2 seperate items.

yep, drag brake is when your rig/controler is at neutral position on the throttle..."Brake" is applied to your motor so you won't roll forward or reverse. Very useful on a hill.
