Like the title says, what is the difference? Programming? Are they physically the same ESCs?

Have you tried looking at CC's site and comparing the two?

+1...sorta. I don't believe CC states anything, I emailed them with a vague reply. Basically the same ESC, different motors when you buy a "set".
The SCT is cheaper by itself, my son is running 2 of them in a 2.2 Bully MOA.

The only thing I could find was that the SCT was a combo, and you could get the SV2 by itself. I understand they are the second generation compared to the original Sidewinder, just didn't know where they differed. I kind of assumed it was just the SCT version to be with the motor so you could buy them as the set (kind of like the MMP / 2400 combo).

Per Patrick Del Castillo, the owner of CC, they are the same. He said so on the rc-monster forums.
