KennyJ is running dual BR-XL's with cut heat sinks and solder posts with no issues whatsoever. He is running 35's on 3S lipo, not much load at all for a BR-XL.

Not very good, but here is the pic. I have the heat sinks and the bullet posts cut down about 1/2 way. They are both uncased and stacked on each other. No heat issues.

I have been running mine with no heatsink or cases. John told me that unless i run 6c it is fine. No issues so far on 3s 4s 5s on a berg with 40t motors. Going to install crawlmaster 20t this week and i will report back.

wow that's narrow, hard to see, but u made it fit in small space.
I guess I will keep mine, as I was thinking of going to Micros, but worried if the drag brakes were going to be an issue, .

Slowly pried them off. They are held on with the same material that cpu heatsinks are. Just take it slowly and carefully.
