Default whitch batteries can be used?

hey everyone. just a quick question i just got an exceed maxstone 10 and was wondering if i can run a NIcAD battery pack in it also or just NIMH it has original esc in it with fsgt3b rx/tx combo and i have a couple of older orion 6 cell stick packs that are good still. i know i should go to lipo but im not into comps or anything like that yet i just need to know if i have to buy more NIMH packs or what are my options

+1, the ESC pnly cares about the max amount of power going to it (meaning, max voltage) NOT the chemistry of the power (NiCAD, NiMH, LiPO, etc).

Depending on the ESC, you "may" need to change the LVC (Low Voltage Cutoff) for NiCAD/NiMH instead of LiPO.
