Just so everyone knows, i've had 5 tests/exams and the regularly scheduled homework the past two weeks...far from easy tests too (calc 3, physics 2...at a rigorous engineering school). I didn't have time to text, email, rcc, and fill overkillrc orders. I did get the orders out that i could but thats about all i did besides studying and doing homework.

Hack kit parts didn't come in till thursday (3/7), if they came back in february like they were supposed to i would have got them out the 1st like my website said. But, i have spent the last 8 hours getting 31 orders put in boxes to be shipped out tomorrow.

And a word of advice, don't pm me if you want to be replied in a timely matter...i keep pm's on for "personal" messaging not business messaging.

I was not around when this thread was evolving so I didn't know who wrote all the firmware for the GT3B. It's a long thread and I don't think many of the newer users like myself will have the time to read through the many pages of posts.

I just know that I am very grateful for Mr. Semerad who gave so freely of his time and effort in writing this fantastic firmware. It has really opened up so many possibilities with the GT3B radio and I am very thankful for his selfless contribution.

It took me a while to find out how and who to donate to for the firmware I've been so lucky to use for free on six GT3B's now.

If anyone else is feeling the same way I was and is wondering how to make a donation to thank this person for his efforts, you can use PayPal and send it to:
semeradp@gmail.com

It also might be a good idea to add it to the post #1 or 2 info.

Thanks.

Default New Manual

Attached is a link to very good new manual for the GT3B/C with updated firmware (v5.0 and later) and is much easier to understand.

I say on post #1 who actually wrote the firmware...

I'd also like to add, all the features we use on our crawlers is because of alot of emails sent back and forth between us (myself and psx)...

I've been trying to get his paypal addy for awhile now...i'm surprised he gave it to you, he just beats around the bush when i ask for it.

That's interesting, i guess i should get on rctech some more...been kinda busy the past few months. I had a similar thing going for 0.4.1. Then psx changed the UI and i kinda never finished

I do like the tables though, versus my bulleted lists

You have done a ton of work on this stuff, I got my first hacked radio from you too, many thanks. I only mentioned Semerad because without him starting the ball rolling with the first firmware I would never have had this super versatile radio.

He seems very humble, I don't think he would ever ask for any compensation, which made me want to donate even more.

No worries, I don't know how you have any spare time at all, with all the radio upgrades and your studies etc.

EDIT. I just looked over your v0.4.1 manual, I didn't even know about it. It's really good. I guess the other one is just updated for v 0.5.1 and newer.

Your "how to's" on your website have been very helpful to me (and I'm sure many others). I also got my hack kit and radio parts from your website.

Copied from the RCT GT3B thread Re. GTX3:

There are many rebadges of the original Flysky GT3B. They are all the same on the inside though.

Sometimes they will take the firmware, sometimes they say hell no.

I haven't tried it, but there are reports of it working and not working.

Will be getting my radio this week. I was wondering, does anyone make skins for the GT3B? It would be cool to have one in overkillrc colors.
