Follow the install instruction step by step. The order in which stuff is done is VERY, VERY, VERY important.

> Programming PROGRAM MEMORY area...
Error : Cannot communicate with the board.
Wrong board selection or check board power supply or check that a previous session is closed.
Error : < PROGRAM MEMORY programming failed.

That's the message I get. The pins are soldered correctly and i did everything in order. I'm using version 6.1

The guide doesn't say whether or not you turn on your radio it just says plug it in to the programmer and then the computer. I've tried it both ways and i still get the message above.

Plug the radio into the programmer
Plug the programmer into the computer
***the radio should start to beep, if it doesn't the cable is on backwards
Open STVP <----make sure EVERYTHING is plugged in BEFORE you open stvp
Open your firmware file
Click program

I just did a 3S lipo upgrade to my hacked gt3b. Went well and while I was in there I checked the antennae solder and it looked fine. I gotta do some reading now so I can set the low voltage alarm where I want it. I also now have a 4pl and its running fine but I gotta say at this point I like the flysky better. Maybe that will change but I kinda doubt it.

Assuming you are using 0.6.1 firmware, this is how to set the low voltage alarm.

This is plagiarized from Losikid's GT3C firmware Hack Kit Installation manual.

Turn on the transmitter, then press and hold enter for about 2 seconds
(LONG-enter). This will open the global setup menu.
Scroll until LOW POWER is blinking, press enter.
Scroll to 3.00v, press enter for about 2 seconds
(LONG-enter).

NOTE: Those instructions are for a GT3C which is powered by a single cell lipo. Because you are running 3S lipo in your transmitter, I suggest you set the low voltage alarm to 9volts or even a little higher.

Thanks Heyok for posting that. I like to set my stuff at 3.2v per cell on the lipo stuff just to be safe so I'll set this one to 9.6 this evening. Since I made it plug and play with all my other 3S batteries if I happen to kill this one ill just slide another in there or find me some duct tape and wrap a 5000mah on that thing. That should last a while....

Default GT3C hack kit set up for four wheel steering?

Hi, i bought a GT3C Flysky hack kit about two months ago, the instal was easy but I haven't had any luck programing my radio control. I want to use it for four wheel steering (front only, rear only, both together, and crab walk). I was wondering if you could walk me through the setup steps. Thank you for any help you can give me!

Learn these and you will know more than 90% of the other posters in this thread:

Pretty sure the gt3b 0.6.1 and the gt3c use the same format, anyway.

It should be beeping if you haven't flashed the radio before....

It will work if you follow the directions word for word...i'd say its safe to bet more than 1000 gt3b's have been flashed with my kit and those instructions.

The most common issue is that people don't go in the specific order thats outlined in the directions.

Other issues may be that you didn't install the patch if you're running vista or 7. Or you haven't restarted the computer (after the software install), you didn't correctly configure STVP, the cable is on backwards, you have a cold solder joint...
