ive got a quick question.

i have a tg3c but have not hacked it yet. after they are hacked, can you set a button (say the channel 3 button) to set a dual rate on channel 1 and 2 at the same time? i want to have an easy button for when i had the controller to my 3 year old.

Not sure but, you could program different settings on a different model, then just switch the settings before handing over the transmitter.

No, not at the same time. You'd have todo a button for each channel.....or i'd just create two model memorys.

You're only binding tx/rx, you can run any model memory to any bound rx. I know this specifically when a brain fart happens and I forget to pick the correct model memory for the rig that's out.

I`m trying to assign ch3 to switch on/off lights on my rig.
I`m using the 3ch rx that came with the TX.

Does anybody know how it`s done? I have searched the forum for hours.

I found the manual incomplete in some parts to the point of it only being confusing.

You need some sort of light controller plugged into CH3 in order interpret the servo signal from the receiver and switch power to the light (just telling you this in case you thought you could plug your lights directly into the receiver).

Here is the procedure:

ON/OFF Latching Switch
CH3 button to control ch3 as a -100,100 latching

Long click REV
scroll to 3, enter
Scroll to CH3, enter

+1, the RX only controls an external electronic switch (controller) to work the lights or even a winch.

HeyOK gave you directions for one firmware which may or may not be your firmware. What firmware version do you have? It's either up when you switch the TX on or one screen over.

Good point about the firmware! That procedure is for the 061 firmware.

Thank you guys,I`m new to fitting lights to my rig. I need a light controller as my lights just have a servo end.

I`m running the 0.6.1 firmware.

Thanks for the quick reply I was pulling my hair out here

Im sick of searching, reading, trying this, trying that. I have fallowed the steps to set up a 3 position setting to use a servo winch. FAIL.
0.6.1 3 Position Template
  • Scroll to REV, press enter for 1-2 sec
  • Scroll to switch you wish to assign the channel to
    o 1,2,3=Ch_ trim switch d=d/r switch
    o Then press enter
  • Scroll to CH_, press enter
  • Choose the way you want the switch to act
o BNL=Non-momentary, and no long keys
    o BMO=Momentary
o BRS=Non-mom, long press resets mix to 0 o BEN=Non-Mom, long press goes to e.point o Then press enter
  • For Non-mom, choose step rate o Step rate=% mix change.
    100=3 pos (dig)
#=% of servo movement per click
Then press enter 1-2 sec..program complete
  • For MOM, press enter 1-2 sec, program complete

This did not work. The servo moves when I pill the throttle and nothing happens when I hit the dig switch. I can see it go from -100 to 0 to 100 on the remote. The motor starts to turn when it hits -100. O ya and when i go to the standard end point menu the servo moves when i go from channel 2 to 3 lol. seriously what did i do to this thing.

Can someone walk me through this like the retard I am, otherwise
I'm gonna have a RX for sale soon 'cause I'm going to throw this here gt3b
against the F+*#in WALL!

What do you mean "this did not work"? What settings from the above menu did you actually set to?
