Something to note, for those who are using ch3

You need to go into the menu and turn the ch 3 button to OFF, and it needs to be set to off twice...so

Long click rev
C, enter
Off, enter
Off, enter
Long enter
back

If you don't do this, ch3, be default, will always start at -100%

This is for FW 0.4.x and below. 0.5.0 and above should by default, have the ch3 button set to OFF.

It dries to a typical firm silicone grip texture like you would find on a handle or anything. so how easily it removes depends on the surface and prep.
for example if you just use it for rubber feet and stick it to the bottom of a smooth laptop you could peel it off with no residue.

if you were planing to pick some up to use on the D/R and ch3/tr switches I would place a small glob on the switch and mold with my hands let it set. then if it doesn't feel secure enough remove it scuff up the switch and apply some epoxy.
check out the site for usage tips and ideas
Thanx for the info.

Just finished a simple mod, cut a small piece of plastic from stock parts and a small screw, about 2mm taller than the original switch, easier to move the switch now.

Try this (im thinking it is not bound). The light on the 6 ch receiver is in the case just to the left of the 6th channel under the sticker. Keep your eye on that area and have your esc plugged in to the receiver and turned on. Now plug in the battery and see if the red light flashes briefly (if so it seems to be working but not bound). The light will not light up at all if the receiver is not bound to the Tx or if it is bound and the Tx is off.

Signal on the left, power in the middle, ground on the right (just in case)

I thought I had this totally dialed but I am now running into one small setup item I can't quite figure out. I did at least learn how to search a specific thread though first.

How does one reduce the dead band on the radio as mentioned in the initial features? I am thinking it might be a part of sub trim but a I am no sure. Thanks in advance.

Why do you ask?

Right after power on, press and hold enter

scroll to 1 or 2 (1 is for st, 2 is for th)
press enter
adjust to what you want, bigger the number, bigger the deadband

Well here is why I ask. I am working on stuff for my MRC. As of right now, if it takes a bit of throw to really start getting a rig in motion then there is a pretty short amount of trigger throw to sort out speed. I am hoping decreasing dead band will give a little bit better speed control under throttle. I did drop to the smallest deadband on the cc sidewinder, and I also dropped the deadband on the radio to zero I also double checked the calibration on the radio.

Thanks yet again Losikid.

Try a bit of negative expo, this will give you more control over your top end and less in your low end..from the sounds of it your using a slow motor so some negative expo should do some good

I have a 11.1v 2300mah 35c lipo and like to do a lipo mod, battery's size is 10x4x1.5cm but I'm concern about the "35c", is it OK with radio?
Can I fully charge the battery when use in the radio?
Thanx!

the 35c wont affect anything other than the total amps it can put out, for radio/rx use all thats needed is 5-10c but more wont hurt. the radio should handle the full 12.6v but ive never tried it.

Yea, that bateery will work fine...although running a 3s lipo it be a smart move to change out the Voltage Regulator

I'm not sure how people are fitting 3s packs, but they are.
I'm using this pack: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9787

Specs:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The T1450TX-3 lipo pack is an excellent replacement in radios which used 8 x AA cells in flat formation, such as many Futaba or Sanwa models.
Bring the world of Lipo technology to your transmitter today!
A perfect conversion to Lipo for any transmitter with an 8xAA flat form battery compartment.
The pack includes a JST-XH charge port plug, and a Futaba plus a JR style discharge plug!
Capacity: 1450mAh
Voltage: 11.1v (3S1P)
Size: 93x40x14mm
Charge Plug: JST-XH
Discharge: Futaba & JR
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

All charged up it's at about 12.6 volts and fits right in after I modded the AA battery holder. Cut out the plastic cross brace thingy, unsoldered wires, pulled out all the metal battery contacts for AA cells, drilled hole in end of holder for wires, soldered a Futaba style battery plug (from servo lead extender), plugged it in, tucked all the wires nice and neat, and slid the battery door back in place.

EDIT: I took pics when I did mine and will update my Honcho build thread with them, also will post the pics here so you can see how it fits and what to do.

Losikid, will your hi-efficiency VR handle the 3s lipo at full charge?

For those wanting to max out their battery compartment with a 3s

here's one, 2400 mah

http://cgi.ebay.com/Venom-3S-1P-2400...#ht_2240wt_654

Its quite pricy though, i've been looking for the no-name brand but can't find it.

Edit: I can't promise the above pack fits, as i can't seem to find it on venoms website...i found one but it wasn't the same dimensions.
