Very comfortable to handle, I put a 2S lipo in mine, deans plug...so I can use any battery I have in my stable...well all but the big lipos, and it is really light..I am going to get another one for my wife....the only thing I really don't like is the position of the wheel, I wish it was closer to the face plate, not down and out

Not sure if i can help much on that. BUT

I'm going to be working on a new trigger mechanism and some new buttons for the ch3 trim and d/r switches and the ch 3 button...mostly i'm just going to rais them up so their easier to switch. The buttons will probably be delrin. Trigger may be delrin or aluminum. And i'll be going to a 60/40 setup, instead of keeping the 70/30. Make the finger slot abit smaller, as i've seen complaints about that gap. Usually the fix is some fuel line.

Another way to know, is if there isn't a green led flashing on the bottom half of the board.

When I set up my winch on ch3 trim or d/r there is constant power to the winch. Other than that the winch works properly. On the ch3 trim channel the winch slowly unwinds without touching the trim button and on the d/r channel the winch slowly winds. Any thoughts on what I may have overlooked?

Centering/trim on the channel? Can you adjust the neutral width?

I have no clue, I'm just suggesting.

Well, in my case the rear axle is for ch3. When I went to rev menu and chose ch3, the motor started spinning immediately. After I calibrated the esc, this thing has gone. So, may be, this is an issue to be checked.
Thanks to Charlie and losikid.

They call this "drift"

i'd suggest going into the sub trim menu (enter long on trim) and adjust the trim to the channel your using so there is no drift.

Also getting a HeyOK no drift controller will help solve your problem

When you go to reverse menu and choose chn 3, the axle starts spinning instantly. Fixed with calibration. Also had to turn the reverse on to stop it spinning and calibrate.

Right you were. However The trim was set to 0 when the issue was occurring. I dialed it down to -35 to make it legit.

That appears to only have been a temporary fix. The next time I turned the radio on I had to dial it down even further before it stopped winding. Anyone else familiar with this?

Had this same issue with the stock controller. Went to a speed controller to control the winch, and haven't had an issue since. Just seems to be something with those stock controllers 'cause it happened with my spektrum controller as well.

An ESC to feed you winch is the ultimate if you have the room and a good way to control it. If not, I have you covered with one of these:

Winch Controller for Radio with Three Position Channel

Winch Controller for Radio with 2 Position Third Channel

Higher Voltage Winch Controller

I just got a new order of programmers in. The packaging has changed abit, so i'll make sure the board hasn't changed and my instructions are still valid

It will take me a day or two to get caught up on all orders past due (because of this faulty programmer dilemma )

Thanks for everyone's understanding on this situation

Yea, a spektrum rig might experience some glitching. The AFHDS is defiantly a brute when it comes to sharing a frequency band. I know when my radio is turned on, my wifi spots quit working, so does the 2.4ghz house Oh and netflix

But, at the same time why does spektrums high dollar system cripple by a pretty cheap system. Just proves how secure their signal really is.
