that should just be what voltage your batteries in the tx are at

its not a setting its a volt reading. It tells you how many volts your batteries are at

Losi Kid, I just got the hack done on my radio. When should the low voltage alarm come on? Mine was flashing at 10v and while I was trying to get it setup it started ringing at 9v

Never mind I had some bad batteries. I gotta get new rechargeables.

yea, i think the default is 9.2 volts...it can be ran down to 6.5 if AA's can go that low

Are there any write ups on setting up this radio for a scaler? I'm reading through the manual txt and it's about as painful as learning Japanese. I'm trying to figure out how to get Dig setup on my SCX10 with a VP dig. What does each button control? the CH3 button didn't do anything when I pressed it and I have the dig servo plugged into that channel. I'm lost at this point.

you have to assign a switch to control channel 3. so for instance to assign the ch3 trim to control the 3rc channel in a non momentary 3 postion you'd go

Scroll to REV, Press and hold enter for 1-2 seconds
Scroll to 3, press enter (selecting ch 3 trim switch)
Scroll to CH3, press enter (selecting the function, in this case channel 3)
Scroll to NOL, press enter (selecting the way the switch acts, this is just a normal no momentary 3 position)
Scroll to 100, press enter (this is the step rate (%'s changed per click)
Press and hold enter for 1-2 seconds, then press back/end afew times. (saves and exits key mapping menu)]
you're done! (then go into epa menu and adjust epa's for your tranny)

Worked! thank you. I think this is going to be a little work figuring out what does what and how to program it. The manual is too hard to follow and I didn't find anything where someone spelled everything out for us.

I'm hoping to get a winch and lights setup eventually too. I want the winch setup on the -D/R+ switch and a set of lights to the CH3 button. Those with the dig would be 5 channels, if I wanted to use the sixth channel I would then have to give up either the ST trim or the TH trim, correct?

yea, for the 6th you'd have to give up st or th trim. but you can still trim thru the trim menu. No big deal

the new voltage regulator is only good down to 6.5 volts, so anything lower than that funky stuff will happen

Your done, plug your punk dig into ch3 on the rx
ok this works great but is there a way to reverse the direction that you have to push d/r and ch3 trim

right now i have to push forward to get rear dig and backwards to get front. it would feel more natural the opposite direction.

thanks for the awesome products and support

Got my hack finished last night. I'm very happy with the results. I did run into a few complications though when I was working on it. I wanted to pull the power button off as described in the instructions and ended up breaking the power switch and had to make a trip to Radio Shack for a new one. While there I got a 5v 30ma led that I wired directly to the new voltage regulator (hope that's correct). I also did the the following:
1. Header for programming
2. New power switch
3. LED
4. VR
5. Bearing mod

One thing I notice is the steering servo glitches the other servos. I remember seeing the steering servo be a little glitchy before the mod so I'm guessing it's the same. I'm wondering if I have a bad steering servo. The reason I wonder is it makes channel 2 and 3 go crazy when you steer back and forth from time to time. Moving that servo to any other channel it minimizes the effects. Getting rid of it reduces it a bit and I'm back to the steering servo just buzzing a little at neutral.

Thanks again. Pictures to follow.

What servo?
Do you run an external BEC to it (if it's over ~200inoz)?
Did you try another servo in the steering port to see if it's a RX issue or the servo?
