No, after some tests on the o-scope it was discovered that the 4.1 averaged about 40ms latency...so it was optimized and got it down to like a 25ms average...and afew more tweaks were made between 4.2 and 6.1 to drop another ms or two

I haven't seen any tests on sock adios....but i'd assume slightly faster as i doubt the flysky engineers would have made a firmware that is extremely efficient in getting info to the module as soon as possible. Right now, the latency can't get any faster because the module is a 20ms module. With the new frsky 11ish ms is possible on the latency

OK (turn on sarcasm....) what is "sock adios"?? Are you going barefoot?? (yes, I know you meant "stock radios"). Frikkin "auto spell check....."

For crawling, I really don't see latency as an issue. On a "go fast" I can a potential issue.

I have yet to upgrade my firmware, so I can't comment yet.

Hmmm....I have a hacked GT3B, dual Sidewinder Micros and used the supplied template with no issues.
I did change the "20" for proportional steps to "5" since it made more sense to me.

When you calibrated the ESC's, were the EPA's set to 100% and the trims (and possibly subtrims) were set to "0"??

What version GT3B software are you running? I'm running an older one.

This issue is caused by a uncalibrated radio. So calibrate the radio again, especially the throttle channel.

There is a calibration how-to in post #2 of this thread

Got my GT3C finally, turned it on to make sure it worked. installed hack kit, soldering with off without a hitch. put it back together. Now it won't turn on. rechecked to make sure all the wires were tight. still nothing. do you think i fried the controller?

I charged it too, still nothing. thinking i should have just tried my luck with getting one from losikid.

Does the new firmware allow a "return to previous" when "dig" is locked?? I like on the "mom" dig that I go back to 5% propo when I return to 4WD. In "locked dig" it's not an option.

I would double check you didn't bridge a pin on the hack header, then make sure the connection from the wheel (& power button) are good.
Is your wheel connection (to the main TX body) wires or the spring pins?

Either LosiKid/OverkillRC or Digikey.
